| MEMBERSHIP
In addition to their outreach towards less fortunate persons, Rotarians have a fellowship that enlarges their vision over and above their weekly meetings. This includes golf and curling encounters, bridge games, the family day dinners and the annual corn boils. Foster Chittick, one of our long term members who had more than 30 years of perfect attendance, looked to the future and said:
"It is important to attract younger people to join our ranks if Rotary is to occupy its rightful place at home and abroad. We cannot rest on the laurels of a proud heritage. The objects of this organization are as applicable today to modern society as they were in the days of Paul Harris and his associates back in 1905."
In an item referring to his attendance in 1970 at the R. I. Convention in Hawaii, Past-President Roger Mills stated his high regard for the fellowship of Rotary and its results: |
